The design of the Porsche logo incorporates the coat of arms of the city of Stuttgart, Germany. I found this city to be rather appropriate for the manufacture of muscle cars when I read the rough translation of the name. Take a guess at it ... Stuttgart. I will leave a comment with the answer.
Happy Leap Year!

Roadside Memorial
These two headstones sprout up from a small hillside that separates a very busy shopping area from an even busier highway. They have survived to a time and place when thousands of cars daily whiz along very close to the intersection of Interstate 66 and the Capital Beltway, I-495. I myself whiz by every morning on my way in to work. Once before I stopped and read what I could off the markers. I don't usually take this road on the way home, because of the dense traffic, but I ran an errand after work today that made this road the logical choice to take home. I was thinking about my photo for today when I found myself coming up to the intersection.
I especially love the two orbs of light reflected in the buildings across the road. I didn't notice these until I downloaded the pics from my memory card. See the stones closer up here and here. I found only one website that mentions this lovely roadside memorial.
(Post script - The cemetery is documented in multiple places as the Thompson Family Cemetery.)

Yellow
Monica posted a yellow picture yesterday. There must be something in the air.
My new camera has an "aquarium" setting, which I have been eager to try. This morning, I remembered that the upstairs waiting room at work has a pretty impressive salt water tank!
I did some photo editing on this one, the results of which I am pretty happy. I was able to deemphasize some scratches that were on the outside of the aquarium glass. Check out the unedited photo.
Long narrative tonight; I guess I'm feeling verbose.
